Non-Bankruptcy Debt Relief in Canada Are There Any Options?

2011
07.11

Most non-bankruptcy debt relief solutions would be more appropriately called debt payment relief solutions. What they do is lower your monthly debt repayments without eliminating your total debt. A few, such as the debt settlement plans offered by for-profit businesses and the consumer proposals managed by licensed bankruptcy trustees, will reduce the total you owe.

Canada bankruptcy is the only form of debt relief that allows you to walk away from almost all your unsecured debt when you complete the bankruptcy process. There are a few exceptions, such as alimony and child support, student loans less than 7 years old, and some court-ordered repayments. In reality, you will walk away from a Canada bankruptcy virtually debt-free.

Certainly consumers pay a price for such sweeping debt relief, and in terms of dollars and cents. There are real negative consequences to bankruptcy. However, many of the things you may have read or heard about bankruptcy are simply not true.

Most people assume bankruptcy will have the most negative impact on their ability to get credit in the future. If you have already begun to get debt collection letters and phone calls, you know they never fail to include warnings of how bankruptcy will destroy your credit rating.

As a result, some Canadians refuse to investigate bankruptcy as a debt relief option and never learn the fact that bankruptcy can be the quickest way to restore your credit rating and get you back on the path to financial security.

The Politicians Give Up on Big National Debt Fix

2011
07.10

We should have known. The word was the politicians in Washington were actually trying to show real leadership and come up with the big solution that is needed to deal with our national debt problem. Alas, they are all just far to cowardly to step up the plate, do the right thing and possibly pay the price at the polls. Frankly, they are disgraceful.

So, what happened? Well, nobody knows for sure because it is all being done behind closed doors. What we do know is the Republicans have backed away from the big solution and are now looking at a more temporary deal with will cut two trillion from the debt over the next nine years. Considering we are facing more than 75 trillion in debt over the next 30 years, they might as well not even make the effort. The sad fact is we are going to have a deal to raise the debt ceiling before August 2, but we’ll be dealing with this issue again in another year or so when our debt climbs so high that we hit the next ceiling. Yeah, that is progress!

Bound to Serve the Public

2011
07.07

As a citizen we are bound to take care of the state or country we are in. We are responsible to return all the favors our government has given us. The best way to help our nation is to render public service. As we serve the public, we will also be able to help our fellowmen and our nation to grow and improve.

All have different goals and responsibilities. A registered nurse and doctors are bound to help people maintain and improve their health. They should be able to render health services especially to people who most needed it. Teachers, on the other hand, are responsible in instilling values and education in the minds of the students. Teachers are responsible in helping the parents in molding the student’s personality and dreams. Accountants are also bound to render public accounting and help the government handle financial aspects. Accountants can help the government maintain its reliability and credibility.

Each of us has goals to fulfill in relation to public service. Whatever that is, we need to help our nation to achieve success.

Is Knowledge to Action a Scam?

2011
06.01

You can put money on the fact that those who talk and blog about “Is Knowledge to Action a Scam” either did the course then did nothing or enrolled on the course and did not show up. So either way they end up bitter and looking to lay blame anywhere but at their own door. It is my experience that people like this are dreamers and spend their lives playing the “what if” and “if only” game whilst sitting on the couch. You can hear them say, “If only the Ultimate course was free….” but really even if it were free they would still moan about something else and find another excuse why they can’t do it. Really they are afraid of changing their lives or taking a risk that they might fail at, so they stay in their comfort zone and do what they have always done. Knowledge to Action is not a scam, check it out yourself.

Watching TV While Driving

2011
04.24

One of the major causes of accidents in San Diego California are TVs. Most of the accidents are caused by watching TV while driving on the road. The san diego auto accident attorneys are seeing more and more of these cases because – television is becoming very common and affordable. A lot of families will use TVs in their minivans because it will keep the children occupied while on the road. The main problem with these devices is that they are a big distraction to everyone in the car. This includes the driver who will usually get into a car accident because they accidentally watched the TV while they are driving. If you have ever been involved in an accident then you know that watching TV is not a very safe thing to do at all. I have driven in cars with TVs in the – and most of the time I turn it off so that I don’t watch the TV on accident. Watching TV and driving cars is really dangerous and a lot of people will get into car accidents because of it.

They Need to Learn

2011
04.05

My kids are getting older and now that they are teenagers they keep asking me for money. They even had the nerve to ask me to borrow my credit card and there is no way that they are going to get that from me. So, I have been looking into how to get prepaid credit cards for them so that they can learn how to use them responsible. I would pay them with a certain amount each month and if they were responsible then they could maybe have more responsibility as time went on. But, it is going to take a lot of practice before I let them get a real credit card. They might spend so much money that they could never pay it back and I am not going to let them get into credit card debt at such a young age. That would be really hard to deal with.
