When I was taken to an African hospital in during the summer to receive malaria treatment I have never been so scared in my life. The hospital which was ore like a derelict building full of people with clutter everywhere felt like it posed more danger to me catching other diseases and illnesses than actually being able to cure me. I had taken malaria prevention methods over there with me such as anti malaria pills and insect repellents but these were obviously not enough and I came down with the disease after being bitten by just one single mosquito, which shows just how unlucky I am! I have recovered and I am very grateful for all the help that the African doctors and people gave me but there is no way I will ever be going back there as I never want to lay in a bed like that fearing for my life!
